MN8 Foxfire- FDNY Rescue 2 Fundraiser Update

Take a good look at these pictures:
These are the two members of FDNY's Elite Rescue 2. These are your brothers. These men are alive today because when the proverbial SH#T hit the fan, they and their brothers knew what to do.
To the left is FF Weidman. He has 2nd and 3rd degree burns on over 54% of his body. He was placed in a medically induced coma and faces a long and painful recovery with numerous skin grafts and operations ahead. His wife Cathy, son Ryan and daughter Erin have been making the trip daily from Long Island into Manhattan to be at his side.
To the right is FF Gersbeck. He has been rehabing at home but still has a tough road ahead. He has two sons and a daughter between the ages of 14 and 18.
Like most of us, they work second jobs to help support their families. Yes, they will be eligible for Worker's Comp but how do you replace the other income? How do you replace the car trips incurred by their families? How do you pay for all the unaccounted expenses that will be incurred because of this accident? How? By people like you. Why? Because these guys are your brothers.
We are half way through the MN8-Foxfire, Iron Fireman, FireCritic fund raiser and I can honestly say, I'm a little disappointed in the results so far. We have had some donations (including a VERY generous donation from Shane Parkins of the National Firefighters Endowment) We have had an uptick in the MN8-Foxfire sales that we are donating 50% of the proceeds towards the fund, but we are far short of our goal.
We can do better, much better!
